But if there is a simple and very relaxing alternative to enjoying cannabis with all its aroma and flavor, it is preparing a marijuana tea.

- Reduction of ocular / intraocular pressure.
- Appetite opening
- Etc.
Making marijuana tea
As with all the marijuana recipes that we are dealing with in this blog, there is something that is always repeated when preparing an item or drink with cannabis. And is that if we want to take advantage of all its properties, it is necessary for cannabis to go through a decarboxylation process. Or what is the same: you have to heat the marijuana to high temperature to extract its cannabinoids (THC and CBD), where it is hide all those wonderful properties of the plant.
In the case of making marijuana tea, we will carry out this process by previously heating the herb with a piece of butter or any other type of fat, something that we will explain next step by step along with some tips so that your tea is much more tasty and aromatic.
Ingredients to prepare a classic marijuana tea
- Half a gram of marijuana buds (you can also add leaves that have trichomes).
- A piece of butter (with half a tablespoon of coffee is more than enough).
- 15 g of natural tea (or a conventional tea bag, to your liking).
- A tea bag.
- Cup and a half of water.
- Sugar or honey (if you like sweet infusions).
Process
- Chop the buds and marijuana leaves. You do not have to do too much effort because you will not have to spray them at any time during the preparation of the recipe.
- Use a bowl to mix the chopped cannabis with the butter, making sure that this permeates all the pieces. ¿Why is it so important? THC will not dissolve on its own in hot water but needs to be attached to a fatty substance for the high temperature of your infusion water to have any effect on it. By mixing the fat of the butter with the buds and the hot water you will get extract cannabinoids effectively and ingest them by swallowing.
- Take a tea bag, cut it off at the top, empty it, fill it with the marijuana and butter mixture and reseal it by folding it several times. Do you have a filter for tea? Better than better: you will save this step.
- Heat the water in a saucepan without bringing it to a boil and place your marijuana tea bag in that saucepan that should remain over low heat and without boil for at least 30 minutes. In case the water level drops as a result of evaporation, you can add more.
- Remove the bag and let the water settle. If you want add other flavors At the infusion, this is the time to use the tea that you like the most and leave it inside the saucepan for another 3 minutes of cooking.
- Serve the infusion and add sugar, honey and even a few hints of cinnamon if you are a sweet drinker.
