The farm we collaborate with embraces a comprehensive approach to extraction and distillation. Their cutting-edge facility carries the certification of the US Department of Agriculture and is on the path to acquiring GMP/ISO 9000 and Organic Handlers certifications. The production of isolate, the form of CBD we currently employ in our products, involves a meticulous three-step process.

Crude: To create an organic, natural plant-based extract, our farm utilizes organic sugar cane alcohol (ethanol) for the initial crude oil pass. Furthermore, they subject the crude oil to a winterization process, effectively separating undesirable plant waxes from the oil. Winterizing involves soaking the CBD extract in ethanol and freezing it to facilitate the separation of CBD from naturally occurring waxes and fats found in the plant.

Distillate: Once the crude oil is obtained, it undergoes further processing to enhance the potency of CBD and purify the oil. These distillation and refinement stages can be repeated multiple times until a pure oil is achieved.

Isolate: The production of high-quality CBD isolate begins with premium distillate. The distillate, ready for isolate production, undergoes significant pressure to separate CBD from the rest of the distillate. This process culminates in the formation of exquisite crystallized powder, known as isolate.

Our CBD is sourced from hemp cultivated in Colorado on a USDA certified organic farm that upholds sustainable farming practices. FARMING
Field preparation preceding hemp planting holds paramount importance in achieving optimal growth. At the farm we collaborate with, two techniques stand out: disking the field and planting cover crops. These practices contribute to soil rejuvenation and regeneration season after season.

Disking involves breaking up large clumps of soil left behind after plowing, leading to improved soil granulation and surface uniformity. This crucial step helps to nurture the soil, fostering the flourishing of the plants. In addition, the farm embraces the cultivation of cover crops such as winter wheat. These crops serve the primary purpose of benefiting the soil rather than maximizing crop yield. Cover crops effectively suppress weeds, manage soil erosion, promote soil biodiversity, and enhance soil fertility and quality.
